Brush Depot

West Amwell Township operates a yard-brush depot at the municipal complex, 150 Rocktown Lambertville Road.  This service is offered to all West Amwell residents free of charge, however be prepared to show proof of residency.
The purpose of the depot is to provide a facility for residents to discard yard maintenance brush that can be recycled into useful garden mulch.

Hours of Operation:
Wednesday; 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. or Saturday; 7:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Rules:  To help our community provide this wonderful service, please adhere to the following rules:

Normal yard maintenance only
No Contactors
No Dump Trucks
No Commercial/Dump Trailers

We will NOT accept the following:

Logs over 12” in diameter
Dirt
Stumps
Building Materials
Grass clippings
Metal
Leaves
Posts
Rocks
Wire
Brush from an undeveloped lot or residential wooded areas

Violations/Consequences:  The depot is monitored by the attendants on duty. Violations to the rules above are at their discretion.

  • First Offense - will result in a warning, additional information, and/or permit getting flagged.
  • Continued Offenses - may result in suspension/loss of garbage permit/use of depot.
  • Garbage permits will not be refunded by the township nor may they be transferred to another community member if the owner’s continued offenses result in the permit’s suspension.

Mulch: (recycled from brush received at the depot)

Free to residents during business hours at the address above. Unlimited amount as long as you self-serve (i.e. pick-up/transport/drop-off yourself). Be prepared to show proof of residency.

Mulch Delivery for Sale:

4+ cu/yd. (approx. ½ dump truck) - $75.00
8+ cu/yd. (approx. full dump truck) - $150.00
Dump on driveway only. Pay in advance, Cash or Check to West Amwell Township, c/o Clerk’s Office at the municpal complex

Christmas Trees:  Discarded Christmas trees, stripped of all decoration, may be dropped off after the holidays, during hours of operation. Please leave the trees in the brush pile area or ask an attendant on duty if you have questions.
