West Amwell Wonders
The West Amwell Wonders is a group of seniors meeting for fellowship, recreation, and opportunities to learn about subjects of interest to seniors via guest speakers as well as other programs available through Hunterdon County.
Luncheon meetings are held at the Old Rocks Church (250 Mount Airy-Harbourton Road) on the 4th Thursday of every month at 11:30 February through December - except for November, when we meet on the Thursday before Thanksgiving. Members bring their own lunch. Coffee, tea, and water are provided. An appointed committee of different members is in charge and supplies the desserts each month. A special luncheon in May (our anniversary), a picnic luncheon in the summer, and a catered Christmas luncheon in December are celebrated.
Senior citizens of West Amwell Township who are 60 years of age or older are eligible for membership. An eligible member’s spouse is eligible at age 55. Membership is $10 per person each year due in April.
The group also sponsors bus trips throughout the year. A schedule of trips can be found in the Township Hall lobby.
We have approximately 50 members and are always looking for new members.
