Recycling is the law in New Jersey!

West Amwell Township operates a recycling depot at the municipal complex, 150 Rocktown Lambertville Road.  All West Amwell residents are welcome to use the Recycling Depot free of charge.

Hours of Operation:  Wednesday, 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, and Saturday, 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

In order for us to comply with state regulations please adhere to the following rules:

  • Please drive carefully and be mindful of surrounding equipment and cars.
  • Only one visit to the depot a week please. Residents may utilize either day, but please - not both.
  • In the event of recycling/trash equipment mechanical failure, please follow the directions of the attendant(s) on duty.

All other recycling programs, including Hazardous Waste and Electronics are managed by the Hunterdon County Solid Waste and Recycling Services (see links at left)

Free Recycling App:

Hunterdon County Division of Solid Waste and Recycling Services has recently joined in the state wide launch of Recycle Coach - a free app designed to help make recycling and solid waste information more accessible to County residents and engage the public.  It is available through the Hunterdon County Recycling Site.

PLEASE NOTE: Alkaline batteries now fall below Federal and State hazardous waste standards and can be disposed of in the regular trash.
