Ordinances
Ordinances are the vehicle by which the Township Committee takes official action.
New Jersey is a "Home Rule" State, which grants fairly broad authority to enact laws at the local level - through ordinances.
Ordinances are used to establish the annual budget, hire personnel, appoint officials, and enact all local laws.
The local laws are contained in the Municipal Code.
