Is Your House Number Marked?

Mail Box

Now that the weather is getting better, it’s a great time to make sure your house number and mailbox number is intact and clearly visible (even at night). This is important for Fire Company and Rescue Squads, as well as the Police, to be able to find you should you need help.

If your mailbox is on the opposite side of the road, and not at the end of your driveway, it’s a good idea to post the house number at the entrance to your driveway for easy identification. Your number should be at least three inches high,  visible from the road and 30 inches above ground level.

You may not think it’s important, but do you want to risk a delay of a few minutes during a time when every minute counts?
