Attention: Corona Virus Tax Office Info

IMPORTANT Tax Office Message in Response to THE COVID-19 (Coronavirus) PANDEMIC

  • Although the township would like to extend the offer in Governor Murphey’s recent Executive Order NO. 130 to the township tax payers, there was NO relief offered for the municipality. This leaves the township responsible for paying County Taxes, School Taxes, and all other expenses without the benefit of an extension in which to pay our fiscal township obligation and at the risk of incurring penalties from the State.

Therefore, West Amwell Township cannot extend the grace period for property taxes. Taxes are due May 1st and can be accepted in the locked mailbox located at the entrance of the municipal building or US mail delivery.
  • In light of the unprecedented COVID-19 health emergency, the New Jersey Division of Taxation will not be issuing Homestead Credits for the May tax quarter due to budget concerns.

Basic tax information can be found online. If you have any questions that can’t be found from the above link, please e-mail collector@westamwelltwp.org. The collector is in the office and will respond to any time sensitive issues. Any property tax payments received via mail or put in the outside drop box will be given credit to the day received.
  • TAX PAYMENTS can be made electronically through your banks on-line bill pay, mailed via
US Mail or made in person using the drop box located outside the front entrance of the
    municipal buildings
  • PTR FORMS – If you have a Property Tax Reimbursement which needs completion and
signature, please notate book with a contact phone number & bring the completed booklet to
the municipal building and leave in the drop box. Forms will be completed; you will be
notified via phone for pick up the following day.
