PUBLIC NOTICE

WEST AMWELL TOWNSHIP

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Office of Smart Growth will conduct a public hearing for the purpose of receiving testimony on West Amwell Township’s petition for Initial Plan Endorsement pursuant to the State Planning Commission’s regulations set forth in N.J.A.C. 5:85-7.1, et seq. and the Plan Endorsement Guidelines approved by the State Planning Commission on April 28, 2004. The Office of Smart Growth has received written requests from individuals with a demonstrated interest in West Amwell Township’s petition for Initial Plan Endorsement. The public hearing will be held on April 10, 2006 at 6:00 p.m. in the Main Meeting Room at the West Amwell Town Hall, 150 Rocktown-Lambertville Road, Lambertville, New Jersey 08530-3203. A copy of the petition for Initial Plan Endorsement is available for public inspection in the Township Clerk’s office in the Town Hall, 150 Rocktown-Lambertville Road, Lambertville, New Jersey 08530-3203, between the hours of 8:30 am and 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The petition is also available electronically on the Office of Smart Growth’s website at http://www.nj.gov/dca/osg/plan/endorsement.shtml. This notice is being provided pursuant to N.J.A.C. 5:85-1.7(b).

The public may comment orally, and in written form, at the hearing and may submit written comments to the Executive Director of the Office of Smart Growth at any time up to 30 days after the public hearing. Written requests can be filed electronically to OSGmail@dca.state.nj.us or by the U.S. Postal Service to the Department of Community Affairs, Office of Smart Growth, 101 South Broad Street, P.O. Box 204, Trenton, New Jersey 08625-0204. Public comments may also be directed to the State Planning Commission at spcchairman@dca.state.nj.us at any time up to the time the Commission takes action on the West Amwell petition for Initial Plan Endorsement.

Interested parties may register with the Office of Smart Growth by filing a written request to the Executive Director through OSGmail@dca.state.nj.us for such notice and specifying the subject matter requested and by providing the name, organization, if any, address, phone and fax numbers, and email address.
