The South Hunterdon Regional High School Work Group recently adopted its charter that provides a complete description of the Work Group mission, goals and approach towards meeting those goals. The Work Group was established as a result of negotiations last year that occurred between the town councils of Lambertville, Stockton and West Amwell and the DOE after the failure of the proposed 2009-2010 school budget. The Pennsylvania DEP will be treating the Delaware River from the Water Gap to the northern limits of the City of Trenton in a Black Fly suppression program.  Aerial spraying will occur.  An insecticide product called Vectobac will be used which prevents black flies from hatching in rivers and streams.  More information is available from the municipal clerk's office.

NJDOT will be doing road repair work on Route 179 and Route 29 in West Amwell beginning on November 1.  Working hours are M-F 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays and Monday through Sunday 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.  The activities involve milling, pavement reconstruction and bituminous paving.
