West Amwell Board of Health

BOARD OF HEALTH

The West Amwell Township Board of Health relies on the Hunterdon County Health Department www.co.hunterdon.nj.us/depts/hlthserv/ for its environmental and health expertise.  However, the local board is involved with approval/denial of waivers outside the jurisdiction of the County.  The Township well ordinance was developed by the Board of Health “to insure any on-site water supply system is sufficient to meet the domestic water needs of the homeowner or user.”  Results of the well test(s) performed are retained by the Board for analysis and future research.

Members:  See Directory for current membership.

Meeting Dates:  The Board holds 7 meetings per year, usually in January for Re-organization, and regular meetings in March, May, July, September, October and December.
